My Mandarin student shows a great interest in Chinese culture and in the coming several weeks, we will talk about the following topics:
- the second generation rich, or types of young people
- attitudes to education in China style of education in China (rote learning vs. problem solving)
- attitudes to women & family in China
- attitudes to beauty in China
- attitudes to travel or different countries outside China
- attitudes to work and professions
- attitudes to fashion
- attitudes to modernity vs tradition
- attitudes to acting as an individual vs fitting in with a group
